i don't know if this q has been brought up on the forum, if so i apoligize, but i was just thinking about this today, and wondered how many here left or are thinking about or trying to leave the b-org as result of the un fiasco?

how many do you know of that left due to this?.

4 actually.And all the other lurkers and the ball keeps rolling...do you realise the numbers of people who will hear of this locally if each of us told just 10 or 20 people?I have given out a lot of info to a lot of people, as I am sure others have;each time I recieve an invite to re-associate I make sure it's kept in their minds,so they can't score the moral high ground...ON A LARGE SCALE, THEY'LL BE ABLE TO CONTROL INFORMATION-BUT NOT ON A LOCAL LEVEL WHERE IT'S MOST EFFECTIVE.
And as for all the questions...you can't look at life through the perspective of an org. that is dishonest-these are the BIG questions, life, the universe and everything...do you really think anyone here or on this planet has those answers?!You have to sit on this planet feeling comfortable in your own skin; noone else can do that for you;you have to do the work.

Hi Katie, hey, poor you- you sound so sad you'll have me crying soon.The closeness you miss from the cong and your family is a big thing to loose; my parting words to a jw I loved as family were 'I'll miss you SO much...'(knowing she'd never speak to me again...)And her reply?Nothing; she'd left me before the final words came out of my mouth.If it's any consolation, you know it's not YOU don't you?You know it's just the way they're told to deal with this kind of stuff,don't you?
Perhaps we all have these dreams inside of us that we try to aspire to; and they're probably to do with pleasing those we want to love us;our parents or peers.My father was critical, violent,selfish and cruel... yet I still wished he was as proud of me as he was of others...I don't think we ever make ourselves happy by pleasing others;believe me, i've tried; now I make making myself happy as no1 priority, cos now i'm happy i'm nice to be around!

Perhaps if you want to get married and have kids it'll happen one day... a friend of mine was bi...she got the lot eventually;perhaps you're not happy with your lot because your mother's told you how you SHOULD be instead of who you ARE.Labels suck!I've been parttime at college, waiting to start fulltime in the autumn,lots of new friends to replace the old...it does help; and life is'nt constant anyway, now i've found out i'm really ill and the fantastic prospect of 3 years of sculpture Ihad spread out in front of me is fading fast...though perhaps something I have yet to think of is right around the corner.Could you try to look in front of you and not walk looking over your shoulder? Scary; but I love waiting to see what will happen next, i'm turning into quite a fatalist!!!

They Stole My Sign!

i have a sign in my front yard on a main highway.

it reads, "no child molesters, www.silentlambs.org".. last night evidently, someone took the sign.

now i live one mile from the kingdom hall, do you think it could have been jw's?

OOOOO!! i was just going to say that!!!!!!That stuff never comes out!I'm sure your suspicions are correct and if not... what the hell?you've got some more publicity for the victims- you don't have to accuse anyone of the theft... just explain the sign, it's meaning and why it is important to have it back...As for the replacements-the possibilities are endless ar'nt they- the more often it is stolen the more outrageous they can become! we can all send you some money to 'improve ' them! JUST ASK XXX

Child abuse-unbelieveable reason for claims...

i had a conversation with a jw on monday and decided to tell them about the child abuse problems that they did'nt know about...it was quite a long conversation that i thought would at least be considered fleetingly due to the probs re the catholic church...but the final parting words were'satan will use anything to discredit 'our' good standing,there will be an increase in this type of report because satan is tryin to dirty our good name.

'so even if their arses are hauled to prison by the thousands, eventually; they'll claim it's a sign of persecution!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

the police and courts will probably believe you; but not your congregation...that's the shittiest thing that's ever come out of his mouth.pure denial from a source that knows no facts.. hand me a bucket-i think i'm going to be sick.

waiting;The way some think beggars belief dos'nt it? but when it's from the society that they hear the SATAN or the APOSTATE alarms ring they go into moral and mental shutdown.It's a sad fact that the majority would rather see a child abused than the truth revealed; they seem so connvinced of the righteousness of the org. they have no room for pity or compassion.Even if cases get as far as court he saw that as a similar situation to 'brothers being hauled up in front of the courts'I hope to god these cases have so much evidence they cannot be passed off as 'brothers being wrongly accused'Which, incedently he also anticipated a huge increase of.AH; they'll say,fulfilled prophecy ...we were right therefore they MUST be innocent.hopefully after a few cases they'll gain a reputation for letting the children down and the media will have a field day;on the other side of the coin, if they fess-uo and sort the problem out properly, they'll still look like uncaring bastards because of the way they hid them... either way-WE WIN!

well since i've made up my mind to take control of my life by leaving the borg i also want to get myself back in shape.

a few years ago i wass 6'1, about 205 (all muscle) with less than 10% bodyfat.

today lets just say that i need to get back into a serious workout regimine.. .

Leander; you WILL put on weight when you train... muscle weighs more than fat... but that's a good thind, as muscle USES fat TO 'STAY MUSCLE'-SO YOU GET LEANER EVEN AS YOU SLEEP! don't stop now!!!
